Virat Kohli CENTURY: Virat Kohli received a grand send off from Australian players as well as the fans following his epic century in Ahmedabad. The likes of Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc and other Australian players congratulated the former India skipper for his fabulous knock that has put India in a commanding position in the fourth Test. Virat Kohli‘s century on Thursday gave India a lead of 91 run. Kohli was the last Indian wicket to fall after being dismissed by Todd Murphy for 186 runs. The 34-year-old former skipper reached the three-figure mark with a single of Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon. After reaching the three-figure mark, Kohli removed his helmet and kissed his wedding ring. He was congratulated by his teammate Axar Patel and also received applause from Australian players as well his teammates from the dressing room.
The century ended Kohli’s dry spell in Test cricket, with his last century coming against Bangladesh in November 2019. The century was his 28th in the longest format and 75th of his decorated international career after 1205 days. Following the remarkable innings.

Virat Kohli century: Former skipper joins elite list
Virat had a forgetful outing against Australia in the first three matches of the 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The latest century was even more special since for Virat Kohli as he is now placed among the greats in terms of centuries made in international cricket. The century puts him alongside former South African cricketer Hashim Amla, former Australian skipper Michael Clarke Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting and Kumar Sangakkara. The century also puts India back on track to win the Test and seal their place in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final.

India dominate Day 4 after Virat Kohli’s century
Team India clawed their way back into the Ahmedabad Test following an outstanding knock from Virat Kohli. The former skipper displayed great technique and looked solid throughout the innings. Kohli was equally supported by KS Bharat and Axar Patel throughout his innings. Bharat failed ot get his maiden half century but he put on 84 run stand with Kohli for the 5th wicket.
Following Bharat’s dismissal Kohli along with Axar Patel stitched 162 runs partnership for the 6th wicket. Axar was eventually dismissed by Starc for 79 runs. Kohli eventually ran out of partners and with Shreyas Iyer unable to bat due to back issues, India’s innings eventually ended at 571.
