As the race for promotion intensifies in the Spanish Segunda División, Viacom18 has announced that it will be broadcasting the highly anticipated LaLiga 2022-23 Playoffs live in India. Starting June 8, 2023, Indian football fans will be able to watch the action live on Jio Cinema, MTV, Sports 18 – 1 & Sports 18 – HD channels.
Contested by Levante UD, Albacete Balompié, SD Eibar & Deportivo Alavés, the playoffs will determine which team will have the opportunity to participate in LaLiga’s top division. With all contenders having tasted LaLiga top-category action in their history, these playoffs will provide each club with the unique opportunity to be back in the topflight of Spanish football. With so much at stake, the playoffs promise drama, entertainment, and, above all, a football experience like no other.

For fans in India, this will be an opportunity to witness a mix of talent and experience on display. With each team pinning their fortunes on their marquee players, fans will be able to witness 4-time Europa League winner Vicente Iborra in action for Levante UD. Hoping to step out of his father’s shadow and create a name for himself, Luca Zidane will hope to lead SD Eibar back to the top. For Deportivo Alavés & Albacete BP, Spanish icons Victor Laguardia and Jonathan Dubasin, two players at different stages of their careers will look to either turn back the clock or coming off age on one of the biggest moments of the season.
