Having risen to fame with her Among Us gameplay, she has now evolved into a successful businesswoman as well, co-owning the prestigious eSports organization, 100 Thieves. However, despite her immense success, the streamer is well known for being quite candid with her community.
Valkyrae reveals community name after seven years of streaming
Rachel ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter is one of the most prominent names in the streaming industry, and has naturally garnered a huge fanbase over the years. But unlike most streamer communities, Valkyrae’s community did not have a name so far. However, this changed on a recent livestream, when Valkyrae finally revealed that she had decided upon an official name for her community.
“Guys I have a confirmed community name, after seven years. After seven years, it is official. We are now officially The Raebies.”
Valkyrae’s announcement was followed by an awkward silence from her fellow streamers, who were too stunned by the name to say anything. Finally, Sykkuno broke the silence, saying that she had already used “Raebies” earlier, to which Valkyrae responded saying she thought the name was appropriate. Naturally, Sykkuno asked her why she thought so.
“We’re an infection, and we raid with our disease!”
Miyoung noted that this meant that whenever Valkyrae’s community raided some other streamer, they were essentially giving them rabies. While the name is short for “Rae’s babies,” the other streamers’ reaction to the name was not very surprising.

As expected, fans had a variety of reactions to Valkyrae’s official community name announcement. While some believed that it was appropriate because most of Valkyrae’s friends beleievd she was rabid, others commented on Sykkuno, Wendy, and Miyoung’s reaction when they were told the name.
Streamers are well known for giving their communities bizarre names. For instance, Sykkuno’s community refers to themselves as Sykkos. So far, valkyrae’s community seems to be loving the name “Raebies.”
