Now, he will be looking to the ultimate glory. However, he needs to recover from his poor show at the Tokyo Olympics. As many as 5 players have won calendar grand slams. They are Steffi Graf- 1988, Margaret Court- 1970, Rod Laver- 1962 & 1969, Maureen Connolly-1953, Maureen Connolly- 1953. As mentioned, no player has won the calendar grand slam in the 21st century.

Tennis legend Serena Williams is just a single Grand Slam away from equalling Margaret Court who has won as many as 24 grand slams. She has entered as many as 4 finals since 2018. It will be interesting to see if she can recover from her injury and go on to win the elusive title. The legendary tennis player has failed to impress in the last few Grand Slam outings.
The 39-year-old can also win her 7th US Open, joint highest with Richard Sears, Mate Pavic, and Bruno Soares.

Title defence has become a big topic of discussion in the last few Grand Slams. None of the women’s players in singles are able to win the title once again.
