On their official Twitter handle, Conor McGregor pub recently announced that they would be screening every FIFA Worldcup 2022 match with Irelands’ best sound system. Also, they claimed to be world’s greatest pub.
UFC News round-up: Leon Edwards still unhappy with Jorge Masvidal
After a 2019 UFC event, Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal got into an altercation backstage at The O2 arena in London. Masvidal was the main event’s emerging star at the time, and he was only two stoppage victories away from several world title chances. Now that Masvidal is on a three-fight losing streak, Edwards is the dominant force at welterweight after knocking out Kamaru Usman to earn the belt this summer.
Edwards was obliged to explain that Masvidal, with whom he was scheduled to fight towards the end of 2021, does not fall under the category of opponents with whom “it’s all love” after they have opposed. Edwards commented during a recent interview on The Breakfast Club. He insisted, “With Masvidal, that’s what it is, that’s beef. “I don’t like him; we fought backstage and exchanged some shots. That occurred in my hometown of London as well. That was about three years ago; since then, I haven’t seen him. They grabbed, transferred, and flew him out of the country.”
