As for a fight with Usman, Leon Edwards is probably next in line to get a shot at the current champion.
Kamara Usman doesn’t want to fight in the middleweight division owing to the respect he bears for his countrymen and current champion Israel Adesanya. He said, “I was going to skip Israel and go fight Jan at 205 [pounds] because I’m pound-for-pound, I want to prove it. No matter what weight it is, I thought he was a really good matchup for me.”
