UFC: Sean Strickland’s Absurd Comments Grabbed Attention of Internet

On Monday night, Strickland tweeted: “Watched 15 minutes of hockey and there wasn’t one fight.. Bunch of fucking lady boys. If I wanted to watch a bunch of women ice skate I’d watch figure skating… No wonder NHL has a trans league….”

The NHL has seen a decline in fighting over the years to promote skill and highlight elite players. Sean Strickland likely has no intention to mock any of the fans or players from the sports. However, it did sit well with many for obvious reasons. On the other hand, many who know his humor did find it funny. Fans reactions are as follow

His tweet has indeed drawn attention and received mixed reactions from fans. While his comments may raise his notoriety, Strickland indeed is an internet troll cut from the same cloth as Adesanya, Costa and a long list of UFC superstars.

Sean Strickland, bemoaned the fact that fights are no longer a common occurrence, suggesting that it has removed the spice and drama for fans. While Strickland’s comments may have been intended as a joke, they have been perceived by many as disrespectful to the athletes who have dedicated their lives to the sport. As a reputable athlete himself, it is important for Strickland to show respect for other sports and the hard work and dedication of their athletes.
