When asked whether she would like to follow in the footsteps of Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey, her former opponent in UFC. Nunes answered, “It depends on the contract you know?”

Nunes had stated in one of her previous interviews, even after her retirement Nunes would still like to continue doing something in the fighting industry. Amanda fights out of passion, which has allowed her to hold a double champion title. For now, Nunes has dedicated herself to UFC. But later when her contract with the UFC ends and if she is offered something better from WWE, there is a chance that Amanda Nunes would make the best use of the given opportunity.
If Nunes ever happens to grab the opportunity and shift to WWE. She wouldn’t be the first woman to do so. Prior to her, two of her former opponents from the Bantamweight division have already made this switch, they are Nunes’s old foe Ronda Rousey, who joined WWE upon her retirement from the UFC in early 2017’s after having a first-round technical knockout in the hands of Nunes in UFC 207 that took place in December of 2016.

For now, Amanda will be making her debut against Irene Aldana in the Ultimate Fighting Championship as it makes its return to Canada after almost four years. The event will take place on 10th June 2023 inside the Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
The women’s Bantamweight champion, Amanda Nunes, will square off against No. 5-ranked 135-pound challenger, Irene Aldana, in the pay-per-view (PPV) main event of UFC 289, while former Lightweight champion and top-seeded challenger, Charles Oliveira, takes on No. 4-ranked Beneil Dariush in the co-feature with potential 155-pound title implications.
