Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones banter ahead of UFC 285

In UFC 285, Jones will face French fighter Gane for the heavyweight title in his highly anticipated return to the octagon. Yet, even though many believed Jones’ UFC comeback would pit him against former champion Ngannou, the latter decided to leave relations with the promotion when contract negotiations came to a standstill.

In a harsh retort to heavyweight competitor Jon Jones, Francis Ngannou asserts that the Cameroonian made a “wise choice” by quitting the UFC. Ngannou took exception at the notion that he is not the undisputed champion and swiftly retaliated with some old Jones remarks. He has yet to reveal his next move in his combat career.

The American’s former adversary Daniel Cormier, who won two championships after Jones’ title was removed, was mentioned in an old comment from Jones that was attached to his tweet.

UFC 285: Fans troll Francis Ngannou for Jones’ criticism

UFC fans mocked Ngannou for it after his response to Jones. They criticized him for declining a challenge from Jones and not signing a contract with the promotion. Since Ngannou is no longer associated with the organization, MMA fans said Jon Jones now controls the heavyweight class.
