UFC 284 SCAM ALERT: The Western Australian government has issued a warning about being scammed before the UFC 284 fight
Seeing as the UFC has returned to Australia after a four-year absence, demand for tickets has been tremendous, and fans who are hoping to attend the sold-out UFC 284 event at Perth’s RAC Arena on Sunday night. And seeing that the ticket scams are being reminded to the fans. Regarding the ticket scam, Trish Blake, the Commissioner for Consumer Protection, stated that steps had already been taken to protect ticket holders for this UFC event.
In her words, “During our investigation of ticket sales to this event, we have identified numerous advertisements on various platforms that may be in breach of ticket scalping laws by selling at a price greater than the ten percent mark-up allowed.”

She added, “So consumers still need to exercise caution when thinking about reacting to these ads and run the risk of buying fake tickets, or a genuine ticket that has been sold multiple times.”
“Fans who purchased tickets outside of Ticketek or Ticketek Marketplace, the authorised seller and re-seller of this event, should check with Ticketek that the tickets they have are valid and will be honoured at the gates before attending the UFC event on Sunday.”
Any ticket holder who paid more than the permitted 10% markup should return the tickets to the provider/ seller and request a refund. If a refund request is turned down or delayed, and payment was made online via PayPal or credit card, buyers can launch a payment complaint using PayPal or a credit card return. And not just that some fraudulent ticket resale advertisements have already been removed.
