Sean O’Malley vs Petr Yan: The Fight Card is yet to be made official but all the plans for the UFC 280 card are surfacing.
The star power in this card is actually insane and it could very well be the biggest Pay Per View of the year 2022.
Whole Card is stacked but the fight that is just as big as the Main Event and may get the credit of People’s Main Event is the clash between Suga Sean and Petr ‘No Mercy’ Yan.
The Bantam weight clash is set to draw big numbers and has the ability to be an absolute barn burner banger.
Yan’s Cold ‘No Mercy’ reply to Suga Sean’s TRASH TALK: It was Sean who announced this match up before UFC made it official and he’s the one who started taking shots Petr.
During an episode of DC and RC he said “I’m so excited for this. I almost can’t even believe it’s real, it’s happening. He’s obviously the No. 1 contender right now. He’s pretty much 1-1 against ‘Aljo’ . He whooped Aljo the first fight, then he got kind of whooped up in the second fight. But he could be considered the champion. The whole top 5, really — the way Petr beat Jose Aldo was one of my favorite performances of Petr Yan. So going in there and stepping up against a guy like Petr is exciting, it’s motivating, and it’s the biggest fight in the bantamweight division right now. I think it’s bigger than Aljo vs. T.J. [Dillashaw].”
“I believe I’m better than Petr at what we’re going to do, and that’s f****** fighting. I’m better than Petr, and I truly believe that. And I think that’s what is going to get the job done. I’m going to go in there more prepared than Petr, I’m going to go in there and just do what I do. Obviously putting Petr’s lights out would be massive, but I just need to go in there and get the job done against Petr Yan. Three five-minute rounds.
“It’s the best dude I’ve ever fought, hands down, and I’m very excited for the opportunity. And I just believe I’m going to be better October 22nd than Petr.” Sean added.
The words depicted both respect and confidence and that he is ready to take on a top guy.
His approach to the top guys have been pretty unlucky, he lost to Chito Vera and then his bout with Munhoz ended in No Contest.
However this match would clear all the doubts that people still have for him and get him a place among the top guys.
Petr Yan is excited for the bout too and he responded to everything Suga said with an one liner and tweeted “My (punch emoji) [depicting his hands] will do the talking ”
