The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups A and B and will take part in the competition from 18th June to 1st July 2022. The games for Group A will commence on 18th June while the fixture for Group B will begin the next, on 19th June. The 8 teams will compete amongst themselves to fight for the title.
The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals and they will automatically qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia. The winner of the playoffs of the teams finishing third will also qualify for the World Cup in Indonesia.
