U Mumba had started their PKL 8 campaign in style as they defeated Bengaluru Bulls by a massive margin of 16 Points (46-30). Abhishek Singh starred for Mumba with 19 Points in the game. However, in the very next game, Mumba were outdone by a strong Dabang Delhi KC (27-31). But, in their third game against a relatively weak Tamil Thalaivas, Fazel Atrachali-led Mumba could not register a victory and had to settle for a tie.
Meanwhile, Tamil Thaliavas are yet to win in this season. Their first match of the tournament had also ended in a tie.
