Raj Bawa and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored scintillating centuries on Saturday in a dominating batting performance by India against Uganda in the U19 World Cup. Raghuvanshi, who opened that batting scored a fine 144 off 120 balls, striking 22 boundaries and four sixes. Raghuvanshi did the bulk of the scoring early on, after the quick wickets of Harnoor Singh and Nishant Sindhu, before Bawa took over with his pyrotechnics.

Bawa scored a century in just 69 balls and managed to stay till the end, remaining unbeaten on 162 off just 108 balls. Bawa’s effort is the best by an Indian at the U19 World Cup, beating Shikhar Dhawan’s score of 155 in 2004.
