Tamyra Mensah-Stock will renew her rivalry with Japan’s Sara Dosho as the duo are all set to tussle in the round of 16 in the Women’s freestyle 68kg category. Dosho is the defending champion in the category having won the gold in Rio Olympics and will be aiming to claim the top podium spot at home. However, Mensah-Stock will fancy her chances of having defeated the Japanese ace in the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Championships. Dosho will be aiming to avenge that loss when they face off in the Makuhari Messe Hall.
However, wins the clash will face off against the winner of the clash between China’s Feng Zhou and Cuba’s Yusaris Sanchez Rodriguez. Zhou won the gold medal in the 2014 Asian Games while Rodriguez is the U23 world champion. Former junior and U23 world champion Koumba Larroque (FRA) will be up against Mongolia’s star Battsetseg Soronzonbold (MGL). The winner will face one of former world silver medalist Danielle Lappage (CAN) and European champion Khanum Velieva (ROC). Mimi Hristova (BUL) also has a tough one against Asia champion Meerim Zhumanazarova (KGZ). The winner will face one of Elis Manolova (AZE) or Blessing Oborududu(NGR).
