Tokyo Olympics: USA Basketball Managing Director Jerry Colangelo said Wednesday it is unlikely Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will ever play in the Olympics again.
Colangelo made the declaration on ESPN’s Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin, saying:
“You know, Father Time takes its toll. … If you’re a human being, your body is built to go so long depending on what your sport is, and then it’s a downhill situation. LeBron made choices these last couple of Olympics not to participate because he’s got a lot of things going on in his life. So he put in his time, he made a contribution that is appreciated, but I think his time is over.“

LeBron James’ statement:
In the post-match interview, LeBron James hilariously bowed out of the NBA Playoffs 2021.
“I think I’m going to play for the Tune Squad (rather) than the Olympics … Didn’t have much success against the Suns so I’m turning my attention to the Goon Squad in July,” said LeBron James hinting at his movie Space Jam 2.
LeBron: “No, I think I’m going to play for the Toon Squad this summer instead of the Olympics. I think that’s what I’ll focus on, trying to beat the Monstars or the Goon Squad, we call them now.”
Space Jam 2. Coming July 16.
