English Premier League or the EPL is the world’s most followed football league. It is the highest level of men’s English football league system. Founded on 20 February 1992, EPL operates on a system of promotion and relegation, and every season a total of 20 teams participate in the league. The season runs from August to May, with each team playing 38 matches. Manchester United is the most successful team with 13 titles. Gareth Barry has the most number of appearances – 652 and Alan Shearer holds the record for most goals – 260 in the EPL.
