Sri Lanka registered 4 wickets win over Bangladesh on Tuesday and will be eying to continue its momentum against Papua New Guinea tomorrow. Batting first, Bangladesh posted 147/7 on the board with Soumya Sarkar as the top scorer (34). Dushmantha Chameera was the pick for Sri Lanka’s bowler, returning with 3/27. In reply, Avishka Fernando led the foundation with an unbeaten 62 off 42, finishing things off in the style along with Chamika Karunaratne (29* off 25). Soumya Sarkar was the pick of bowlers, finishing at 2/12.

On the other hand, Papua New Guniea could only manage 96/8 after opting to bat against some quality bowling from Craig Young and Ben White who picked up 3 wickets each. Coming to chase, Andre Balbirnie (42*) and Curtis Campher (42*) helped Ireland chase down the total in 16.4 overs with 8 wickets in hand

Sri Lanka is placed in Group A alongside the Netherlands, Ireland, and Namibia while Papua New Guinea is placed in Group B with Bangladesh, Scotland, and the host Oman.

The match will kick off at 11:30 AM IST.
