Pakistan Cricket TeamNational Flags in Kit Bags: After beating India and New Zealand in their first two games of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, the Pakistan cricket teams spirit is high. Do you know what is keeping this spirit so high? A very special task suggested by Coach Saqlain Mushtaq is keeping Babar Azam’s squad very hungry, motivated and in high-spirits.

The former Pakistan spinner revealed that players are made to carry the national flag to inculcate the importance of unity among them. Saqlain has asked players to carry flags during all practice sessions.

“This team represents the entire country,” he explained. “It reminds [the players] that 220million people stand united. It keeps them very motivated”

Video clips of Pakistani cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi were shared widely on social media in which the two could be seen carrying Pakistan’s national flag during the practice sessions.

Fairytale Start for Pakistan in the tournament: Pakistan defeated arch-rivals India by 10 wickets while they thrashed Kane Williamson’s New Zealand by 5 wickets on Tuesday. 

T20 World Cup: Imran Khan wore Tiger T-Shirt in 1992 to keep the team motivated

Imran Khan had led his team to victory in the 1992 World Cup final. During the toss, he came out wearing a jersey with a tiger on it! Why? Because he wanted his boys to fight like tigers in the final.

The inspiration worked like a charm as Pakistan defeated England by 22 runs to lift the World Cup. Imran’s career ended on the best possible note.

Pakistan team doing Imran: Saqlain is also doing Imran now. He is trying to instill team spirit in the Pakistan team by making them carry national flag. 

Caoch was all praise for the Babar Azam’s squad.

“After winning, it becomes easy to implement one’s plans,” he said. “The team is moving forward in a positive direction. All members of the team are working together with the same mindset.”

With two back to back wins against India and New Zealand, Men in Green has almost sealed the spot for the semifinal. Now they will be facing Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia in their next three Super 12 matches.
