The Kiwi man has been so impressed that he feels, Kohli will score a lot of hundreds in the coming years. As of now, the Indian batter has 71 hundreds. The last hundred was his maiden T20 hundred in the Asia Cup against Afghanistan.
His show in the continental competition was full proof that the Indian batter has come to form. He finished as the second highest run-scorer in the Asia Cup. He also smashed an impressive half-century against Australia in the third T20 recently.
“Him (Kohli) coming back into form is no surprise to me, it was just a matter of when he scored that ton. He is in great form at the moment and he is peaking at the right time ahead of the World Cup. I think he looks like he is in a good space, he is going to score a lot of hundreds in the coming years, I hope,” NDTV quoted Taylor as saying.

In fact, the player was heavily criticised by experts for his poor run of scores before the Asia Cup. There were concerns if Kohli would hit the ground running. But the player has hit the right chord after a month break or so. He took rest during the West Indies and the Zimbabwe series. That break seems to have re-energised the batter. Kohli has been on a league of his own ever since, which is only going to help Team India in the World Cup.
Kohli coming back to form will only strengthen their batting. It already consists of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, who are the key batters. Alongside Rohit, the man from Delhi will hold key in the Indian batting department with their experience.
India have always been one of the strong favourites for the ICC title. But the bowling is a big concern for India, especially after Bumrah injury. It means that the big Indian batters will have to shoulder major responsibility if they are to win the shorter format World Cup once again.
