T20 World Cup 2022: Legendary all-rounder Jacques Kallis excited for Hardik Pandya vs Ben Stokes at the T20 WC, says ‘they don’t come around often’
Hardik Pandya and Ben Stokes are two of the finest all rounders in the game at the present moment. Both have been instrumental to their team’s chances and form a vital part of their plans during the T20 World Cup.
Jacques Kallis, one of the game’s leading run scorers, believes that players like Hardik Pandya and Ben Stokes rarely come by and should be taken care of.
Speaking to NDTV, Kallis said, “These two (Hardik Pandya and Ben Stokes) are world-class all-rounders. All-rounders are something you need to look after; they don’t come around often. I am sure both of them will play a big role for their respective teams. It will be a good battle between both of them.”
Both Pandya and Stokes have struggled with injuries in the recent past but look set to feature in the global showpiece event. Hardik made a stunning comeback to the team earlier this year and has featured extensively before being rested for the T20Is vs South Africa.
As for Stokes, the England all-rounder had missed last year’s tournament with an injury and will be keen to make his mark in Australia. England’s red ball captain has not featured in the shortest format of the game in over 18 months, but will be confident of a good showing Down Under.
