Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 – 5 players who can start bidding war in IPL 2021 auctions: The first week of the domestic T20 league is over and it is good news for IPL franchises as they will have option aplenty for the upcoming IPL auctions. The youngsters have and senior player alike have stepped up to give their best and get an IPL contract for the upcoming season. Here are five players who have impressed franchises and are likely to start a bidding-war in IPL 2021 auctions.

1) Kedhar Devdhar (Baroda):

Kedhar Devdhar played a brilliant innings on Saturday to lead Baroda to an impressive 60 run win over Maharashtra. He scored 99 off 71 balls at a strike rate of 139. Although pass the 31, he might be a short term solution for teams who are struggling with their opening pairs. He was part of Deccan Chargers in 2011 IPL edition.

He is Kerala’s newfound talent who played one of the finest knocks in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to guide his team to a dominant eight-wicket win against Mumbai. The 26-year-old slammed a 37-ball century, the joint-fastest by an Indian player in the format. He has 167-runs in three games so far with an average of 83.50.

4) Vivek Singh (Bengal)

One batsman who has attracted franchises attention is Bengal’s opening batsman Vivek Singh. After hitting brilliant 50 against Odisha, Vivek ended up hitting 64-ball hundred against Jharkhand. In his last two games he has hit 20-plus, giving his team a strong start. The scouts have liked him so much that he is now a hot-target for the upcoming auctions. “Really liked the way Vivek batted today. Good the match was getting broadcasted and we could watch his innings. He will now be on our radar”, said one of the franchise talent scout on Vivek’s innings.

5) Prabhsimran Singh (Punjab)

With 268 runs in just four matches, Prabhsimran Singh is the highest run-getter of this year’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It is good news for Kings XI Punjab with whom he is currently signed. He can be used in middle-order batsman to give depth to the KXIP batting line-up. If the Punjab-side decides to let him go, franchises like Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad will like to get him to solve their middle-order woes.
