India’s ace shuttler PV Sindhu too booked a place in the semifinals of the Swiss Open by defeating Canada’s Michelle Li 21-10, 21-19. - 20-20 Antonsen misjudges a shot from Srikanth and leaves it only to see it land inside the court.

- 17-15 Antonsen couldn’t defend a smash from Srikanth that helped the Indian take two-point lead.
- 14-14 Srikanth fought back brilliantly to level the scores 14-14.
- 7-11 Axelsen then took four consecutive points to enter the break with a 11-7 lead.

She started dominating her opponent right from the start. She entered the first set break with a terrific 11-3 lead. Michelle Li couldn’t even get a hold in the game as Sindhu was too strong with her shots as she won the first set 21-10.
Sindhu continued her dominance in the second set but Li showed good fight. Sindhu lead 14-9, but Michelle Li came back to level the scores 14-14. From then on a neck-to-neck battle ensued. The game went to 19-19. Sindhu however kept her calm and took the lead. She then closed the game with a brilliant cross-court smash to seal a spot in the semifinals.

HS Prannoy [IND] beat Parupalli Kashyap [IND] 21-16, 21-16
HS Prannoy is making his first appearance in the semi-finals of a BWF this year as he defeated his compatriot Parupalli Kashyap in straight sets in the quarter-finals. Right from the start the game was an evenly contested contest with both the players showing good fight and challenging their opponent. Kashyap was on the lead early in the set and Prannoy was playing the catching up game. However Prannoy managed to race ahead as he won the set 21-16.
In the second set, Prannoy started off well with a 5-2 lead but unlike the first set, Kashyap lost his momentum and was trailing in the game as Prannoy entered the break with a 11-6 lead. Prannoy then led the set all-through as despite some efforts from Kashyap, he couldn’t take lead against his younger counterpart, losing the game in straight sets.
