Stephanie McMahon was interviewed on a number of WWE topics during an interview on The Playbook podcast. One question was about the difference between the negative reactions to the WWE and the booing of the Heel characters.
“Now from a business point of view, I appear as a heel in my character in front of the cameras. I encourage haters to take a rest. And, quite frankly, from a storytelling perspective, I find the antagonist a million times more interesting than the protagonist. And the only way to achieve that goal is to show off the biggest, nastiest, most obnoxious heel anyone can have so they can cheer on the face. “
