It just one more day for the South Indian giants in Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore clash at the Dubai International Stadium. Keeping the core intact, both SRH and RCB have made some subtractions and additions to their squad. The Hyderabad team had retained 18 players and released five players. On auction day (December 19, 2019), it bought seven new players.
So let us have a look at the players who will be donning the SRH jersey for the first time:
Sanjay Yadav – Rs 20 lakh
He plays for Tamil Nadu in domestic cricket. Yadav is a batting all-rounder who bats left-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders at the 2017 Indian Premier League auction for ₹10 lakh.
The youngster made his first-class debut on December 9, 2019, for Meghalaya in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy. In the first innings of the match, he took nine wickets for 52 runs. They were the third-best figures in Indian domestic first-class cricket.
Virat Singh – Rs 1.9cr
Virat Binod Singh trained under his childhood coach/mentor Venkatram. He made his senior debut for Jharkhand during the 2013–14 season, aged 16. A left-handed batsman who customarily comes in third in the batting order, he has also played interzonal matches, making his debut for East Zone in December 2014, in the Deodhar Trophy.
Abdul Samad – Rs 20 lakh
Abdul Samad made his Twenty20 debut for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019. He made his List A debut on 27 September 2019, for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his first-class debut on 9 December 2019, for Jammu & Kashmir in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy.
Fabian Allen – Rs 50 lakh
Fabian Allen is a Jamaican cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Jamaica in the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition on 25 November 2016. Before his first-class debut he was part of the West Indies squad for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his full international debut for the West Indies in October 2018.
Bavanaka Sandeep – Rs 20 lakh
Bavanaka Sandeep plays first-class cricketer who plays for Hyderabad. He was the leading run-scorer for Hyderabad in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, with 400 runs in four matches.
In July 2018, he was named in the squad for India Red for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy. In November 2018, he scored his 3,000th run in first-class cricket, batting for Hyderabad against Kerala in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.
Mitchell Marsh – Rs 2cr
Mitchell Marsh is the younger brother of Shaun Marsh, a left-handed top-order batsman, and the son of Australia’s former opener, Geoff Marsh. Unlike his father and elder brother, Mitchell has worked on the art of fast bowling. He classifies as a hard-hitting all-rounder, who bats in the middle-order.
In IPL he has played 20 matches so far, in which he has 20 wickets to his name. With the bat, on the other hand, he has amassed 225 runs
Priyam Garg – Rs 1.9cr
Priyam Garg made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy on 19 September 2018. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy on 1 November 2018. In December 2018, during the match against Tripura, he scored his maiden double century in first-class cricket. He made his Twenty20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on 21 February 2019.
In August 2019, he was named in the India Green team’s squad for the 2019–20 Duleep Trophy. In October 2019, he was named in India C’s squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy.
In December 2019, he was named as the captain of India’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
