SRH vs PBKS in IPL 2021: Jason Holder says SRH need to keep going – Jason Holder of Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday stated that the team in orange have to ‘keep going’ for the passionate fans after the SRH lost to Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Saturday. His man of the match show with 47 runs and 3/19 weren’t enough as SRH lost to PBKS by 5 runs at Sharjah on Saturday.

PBKS held their nerve as they defeated SRH by five runs in a low-scoring Indian Premier League (IPL) thriller at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Punjab just about scraped together enough with the bat to post the score of 125, and then with the ball in hand, they did the business. For SRH, Jason Holder did brilliantly with both bat and ball. But the team from Hyderabad came up short in what was a crucial match to keep their playoff hopes alive.

SRH vs PBKS in IPL 2021: Holder was adjudged man of the match for his brilliant 47* run innings. He also scalped three wickets and conceded just 19 runs in four overs.

“It was a tough loss. At the halfway mark, needing 126, you obviously back yourselves to chase it. We probably left a little too much to get at the end although I did back myself to get those,” Jason Holder said during the post-match presentation.

SRH vs PBKS in IPL 2021: While SRH looked like they would not reach 100 even in 20 overs and lose the match spectacularly, Jason Holder came in and took the match to the final over with a fantastic 47 off 29 balls.

“The stage where I came in, I just had to go for it and it worked. Maybe that’s why it worked. Batters probably weren’t too committal earlier on. Five more games left, need to build some momentum for next season. Fans have been really passionate, we need to keep going for them,” Jason Holder said.

SRH vs PBKS in IPL 2021: Ravi Bishnoi scalped three wickets while Mohammad Shami returned with two wickets for PBKS as they managed to put last-over horrors behind and win against SRH.

SRH skipper Kane Williamson too was frustrated with the loss especially after throwing away such a great opportunity to chase down just 125.

“It’s (SRH) a proud franchise, frustrating season. We do need to look for areas to improve. We try to learn from the first half of the game. Punjab tried to come out attacking like it usually happens in T20s. But playing shots was challenging,” Kane Williamson said.

“For us, it was about looking to build platforms. It was quite a challenge to pounce on them without losing wickets. The games come thick and fast. We need to come to the next game with fresh eyes and freedom. We will try and put in the best. Smart cricket needs to be played with different surfaces,” Kane Williamson added.
