Sourav Ganguly health update: BCCI President Sourav Ganguly on Monday declared that he is completely fit and fine’ and is excited to be back at work after recovering from chest pain for which he underwent two rounds of angioplasty in January. Ganguly said he is looking forward to taking the COVID-19 vaccine soon.

The BCCI chief was admitted to a private hospital on January 2 after he complained of chest pain. He underwent angioplasty following which he was discharged. However, after nearly three weeks, he complained of chest pain again, leading to which he underwent second angioplasty.

Although he did not travel outsied West Bengal since his angioplasty, he was back at the BCCI office in Kolkata. ‘I really didn’t see it as a scare’ “Fit, absolutely fine, I am back to work for a while now. It was a small blemish. I really don’t see it as a scare, as you grow older, adjustments tend to happen. I am very lucky that it was a very small one, it could have been bigger. But they say, you need to address immediately whatever happens. That was the best part of it. Fit and fine, that’s the best part of it,” Ganguly told India Today Sports Consulting Editor, Boria Majumdar.

“I am back at work and absolutely fit to be honest. Absolutely spick and span, medical science is so good these days.”
