Tim Southee isn’t that bad in death overs what he used to be couple of yrs ago. Plus, he is a much better bowler in the Powerplay than Cummins. Even though those were Kabaddi pitches in WC, think Southee was one of the most economical bowlers in the tournament.

The 28-year-old pacer has had a very tough time in IPL 2022, as this was the second occasion where he reached ‘half-century’ with the ball in hand. Previously, he conceded 51 runs in the match against Delhi Capitals and that too, without picking up any wickets.

Despite Cummins’ batting performance against DC, angry KKR fans have called for the Aussie’s ouster in favour of Tim Southee, who was a part of the KKR playing XI before Cummins joined the squad.
Southee played two matches – against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings, and he bowled well on both occasions. The Kiwi pacer picked up 5 wickets in those two matches and was also economical. It now remains to be seen whether the KKR management will keep on persisting with Cummins despite repeated failures.
