RR vs DC in IPL 2021: Jaydev Undakat’s triple strike rocks Delhi Capitals- Jaydev Unadkat is on a roll in his opening match of IPL 2021. He bowled an excellent 1st spell and delivered in the powerplay for Rajasthan Royals against Delhi Capitals in absence of pace spearhead Jofra Archer. He bowled 3 overs and gave away just 12 runs, taking crucial wickets of Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw.
The duo could have been a threat to DC based on their prime form in the last few outings for DC, other matches. Unadkat also got rid of Ajinkya Rahane cheaply. The 29-year-old bowled as many as 12 dot balls against the attacking lineup of DC. DC batsman could only score a couple of boundaries.
Unadkat replaced Shreyas Goyal in the RR playing XI. He ended with 4-0-15-3 as DC were restricted to 147/8 in 20 overs.
“I have been waiting for this, no better feeling than this for a bowler. It (pitch) felt it was similar to what I saw from outside in the first game. There was good carry, there was some movement at the start too. It’s a great surface to play cricket on. It was something which we planned in our meetings, we wanted not to give them the extra bit of pace all the time. Their batsmen were all playing with hard hands. It came out well for us today. I’d love to chase it in 10 overs (chuckles), but I’m not batting, will leave it up to the batsmen,” he said post-match.
