RR Playing XI vs DC IPL 2021: Sanju Samson likley to stick with Same XI – No place for World No. 1 Tabraiz Shamsi – Rajasthan Royals kept their playoff hopes alive as they pulled off an ultimate heist, clinching a two-run win over the Punjab Kings. Things started off well for the 2008 champions before Punjab Kings turned the game on its head inching closer to victory only for Mustafizur Rahman and Kartik Tyagi to defy them. With their playoff challenge back on track, there is little reason for Sanju Samson and coach Kumar Sangakkara to tinker with their playing combination, meaning South African duo Tabraiz Shamsi and David Miller will have to wait for their opportunity.

RR Playing XI vs DC IPL 2021:Barring the late collapse with the bat, Rajasthan Royals looked a settled unit with Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal giving them a good start. While Samson struggled, the RR captain will be itching to get back amongst the runs and will be followed by Riyan Parag, Mahipal Lomror and Liam Livingstone, with the latter two showcasing their pyrotechnics against Punjab. In Rahul Tewatia and Chris Morris, the side has able finishers, despite the latter’s poor return last time out. Sakariya was amongst the wickets again, while Tyagi and Mustafizur pulled off the win.

Probable XI: Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, Liam Livingstone, Mahipal Lomror, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Chetan Sakariya, Kartik Tyagi, Mustafizur Rahman.

RR Playing XI vs DC IPL 2021: Sanju Samson likely to stick with Same XI – No place for World No. 1 Tabraiz Shamsi

With Mustafizur doing well, Shamsi will have to wait for his chance, while Shreyas Gopal or Mayank Markande could chip in should Samson opt to play with an extra spinner. That is unlikely to be the case with Riyan Parag, Liam Livingstone and Mahipal Lomror all providing spin bowling options. The same is the case with David Miller and Glenn Phillips, with Evin Lewis and Liam Livingstone ahead in the pecking order.

Having started the tournament, Rajasthan Royals are unlikely to tinker their combination for the game against table-toppers Delhi Capitals on Saturday.
