According to Spanish journalist Manu Sainz,
- Cristiano Ronaldo was calm and took the lead in talking to the players before training. He chatted with all the Portuguese-speaking players, as well as some recent signings, and got up to say “Okay, that’s it. Enough. It’s time to train. Let’s go.”

Ronaldo was back at the Man United training centre on Tuesday morning with his private jet landing at Manchester Airport before he drove in with his agent Jorge Mendes just after 10am BST.
The 37-year-old sat in on the tour debrief with new boss Erik ten Hag as the squad looked back on the 17-day trip to Thailand and Australia.
His former manager Sir Alex Ferguson was also at the training ground yesterday, along with former chief executive David Gill and current Old Trafford chief Richard Arnold.
United claimed this was to attend a lunch which had been scheduled for some time and the timing had nothing to do with Ronaldo. However, it is believed the superstar had a chat with Ferguson, and also former United and England skipper Bryan Robson in the Carrington canteen.

Ronaldo of course enjoyed a very close relationship with Ferguson during his first spell at United, and the legendary manager played a crucial role in the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s decision to return to Old Trafford last summer.
Atlético Madrid are the most recent club to be strongly linked with Ronaldo’s signature, and it will be interesting to see whether he can still be convinced to stay in Manchester.
