To note, Rohit along with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and daughter Samaira are currently enjoying their time in Maldives. Rohit will be celebrating the New Year before returning to the national squad for the ODI series against Sri Lanka which begins on January 10.
Rohit Sharma Injury – The Indian captain sustained a thumb injury during IND BAN 2nd ODI. With the Australia series coming up in February 2023, the Indian board doesn’t want to take any risks. The medical team will conduct an injury assessment. He will return for the SriLanka series only if he is 100%.

Overall, in 40 innings this year, Rohit scored 995 runs, failing to cross the 1000-run mark. These runs came at an average of 27.63, with six fifties. For the first time since 2012, he did not score an international century for an entire year.
