In all 204 players were sold over two days with IPL Franchises showering Rs 551.7 Cr on the players. Ishan Kishan became the highest-paid player at the auction with a 15.25 Cr contract, while Liam Livingstone was the highest paid overseas player at 11.5 Cr.

However, the big debate will be on the NEXT CAPTAIN. With Virat Kohli stepping down, RCB only have two options in Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell. While Maxwell has shown the quality, Faf was an established skipper for South Africa. Harshal Patel, who returned to RCB said Du Plessis was his favourite.
“I don’t know, I haven’t had any chat with anybody at the RCB management, but Faf is, in my opinion. He has led South Africa very well and is a potential candidate, but I certainly can’t say,” Harshal Patel said.
