Bengal went onto beat Haryana by an innings and 50 runs to continue to stay on top spot of Elite Group A. Anustup Majumdar’s magnificent century in first innings took Bengal to 410 run. Haryana after being bowled out for 163 runs in the first innings wer asked to follow on. Akash Deep bagged 5 wicket in second innings to bowl out Haryana for 206 runs in the second innings.
Andhra Pradesh meanwhile stunned Saurashtra by 170 runs on their own turf. Chasing 342 runs for victory in second innings, Andhra bowlers bowled out Saurashtra for 192 runs in the second innings. Cheteshwar Pujara missed out on century after getting out for 91 runs. A Lalith Mohan had the best figures of the match with 6/58. He finished with 11 wickets in the match after a fifer in the first innings.
