A picture posted by his wife Kim Orton highlighted the day of Orton’s surgery. Orton’s injury is serious as he required a fusion in his lower back. This will keep him out of action for a long time and it’s hard to determine his return. Although his surgery took place, there is no potential timeframe for his return. Also, he will miss next year’s 2023 Royal Rumble.
As per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Randy Orton’s injury will pull him for a long time and the injury is much more serious than expected.
“Randy Orton required a fusion in his lower back that would keep him out of action for an extended period of time. The surgery has already happened, though we don’t know when. His wife had posted a picture of him around the operation, however. There were some in WWE that told us they’d be fortunate to have him back after such a long career and the significance of the injury. We’ve also heard from some in the company that says that when he was initially injured, Orton insisted he would eventually return. However, there are no creative plans in order for Randy Orton and no timetable for his return.”
The Legend Killer will be out of action for the rest of the year and it is expected he will not be cleared for next year’s WrestleMania 39. Randy Orton competed since 2002 and he is determined to lengthen his career with WWE. He also claimed he would stick to wrestling rather than join Hollywood like The Rock and John Cena.

The Viper’s contract is due in 2024 but WWE might freeze the contract due to injury. WWE did the same thing during the injury period of Luke Harper. We wish a speedy recovery for Randy Orton and expect him to return as soon as possible hitting some RKOs.
