PUBG Mobile: Technology brand OPPO has announced that its Reno5 smartphone line has become the official smartphone partner for PUBG MOBILE Esports in the Middle East and Africa region (MEA) in 2021.
As a part of the deal, OPPO will be involved in PUBG MOBILE Esports’ championships in MEA throughout the year.
Ethan Xue, President of OPPO Middle East and Africa, spoke on the partnership in a release: “OPPO’s strategy is focused on engaging with our users’ passions in the UAE. In line with the huge popularity of mobile gaming in the region, we invested in bringing the ideal gaming platform to our customers through our latest Reno5 series of smartphones.
“Selecting the new Reno5 Series as the official smartphone partner for PUBG MOBILE Esports in the Middle East and Africa region is a testament to the extraordinary and immersive gaming experience offered by our Reno5 Pro 5G and Reno5 5G smartphones.”
OPPO’s Reno5 series includes Reno5 Pro 5G and Reno5 5G smartphones. According to the release, the devices accommodate gaming-suited hardware and software tailored for an ‘immersive and fluid gaming experience’. They come with features such as Gaming Shortcut Mode, Gamer Mode, ‘bullet screen messages’ and adjustable gaming touch.

OPPO has previously joined forces with Tencent for the PUBG MOBILE MENA Challenger Cup 2019. Moreover, the brand recently partnered with League of Legends: Wild Rift’s SEA Icon Series and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) in the Philippines.
