Ifthikar was off to a sluggish start, getting his half-century off 42 balls. But he suddenly changed gears. His next 44 runs came off just 8 balls as he blew Wahab Riaz away.

Hitting sixes is not a big deal in the shortest format of the game, i.e T20. However, hitting 6 sixes in a single over is a rare feat and only a handful of batters have been able to achieve this feat. With the PSL scheduled to start on 13th February, a PSL exhibition game is taking place prior to the start of season 8 of the tournament.

Babar Azam who captains Peshawar Zalmi opted to bowl first after winning the toss. The Zalmi’s were off to a good start with Wahab Riaz picking up early wickets to destabilize their opposition. However, Quetta came back strongly in the latter part of the game to post a competitive total for their opponents.

But, the biggest highlight of the game was Iftikhar Ahmed’s sixes galore. In his first stint, Ahmed managed 58 runs off 44 balls. But, things took a sharp turn in the final over of the game. On came Waha Riaz to bowl the final over and Iftikar unleashed his carnage but slamming 6 sixes across all parts of the ground.

Earlier, the game was paused for quote some time after a blast occured in Quetta. Reports claim that the blast took place just 4 kms away from the Bugti Stadium where the PSL Exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi are taking place.
