Lauren Winfield-Hill smashed 24-ball half-century in chase of 205 against Amazons in Pakistan Women’s Exhibition match. The batter however departed after scoring 80 off 42 balls. From then on, the Super Women batters began losing wickets in a cluster as they ended up losing the match by a big margin.
Earlier, Dani Wyatt’s 97 and Bismah Maroof’s unbeaten half-centuries helped Amazons post 204 on the board in the Pakistan Women’s Exhibition on Friday. Amazons lost opener Eyman Fatima early after winning the toss and opting to bat first. However Wyatt and Maroof shared 137-run partnership helping their team post the big total.
For Super Women, Tuba Hassan claimed figures of 2-34 in four overs. In their chase of the formidable target set by Amazons, Super Women were only able to reach 163-9 in 20 overs. Lauren Winfield-Hill was the top scorer for Super Women with 80 runs in 42 balls, including 11 fours and three sixes. For Amazons, Anam Amin was the standout bowler, taking four wickets for 17 runs in four overs. Fatima Sana also contributed with two wickets.
