Facing Shaheen, Haris tried to dictate the terms as he pushed a 140+ KMPH towards mid-off. However, such was the pace of Shaheen that Haris was just holding the handle of his bat as the remaining part of his bat went flying near the bowler’s end. After some delay, Shaheen was ready to bowl the second delivery of the 2nd innings as he totally bamboozled Haris and cleaned him up with peach of a delivery.
Shaheen did not stop after scalping Haris as he returned to grab the prized wicket of Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi’s skipper Babar Azam. The left-arm seamer completed a five-wicket haul in his four over as he spent 40 runs in his allotted four overs.
Earlier in the innings, Fakhar Zaman played an excellent knock of 96 runs. He along with Abdullah Shafique (75 off 41 balls) helped Lahore post 241/3 in their allotted 20 overs. In reply, Saim Ayub and Tom Kohler-Cadmore stroked fifties with the bat. However, it was not enough as the Qalandars completed an easy victory over Peshawar by 40 runs.
With this victory, Qalandars have now won three games in their last four encounters and are looking very comfortable to qualify for the next stage of the competition. Qalandars will take on Islamabad United in their PSL encounter to be played on February 27.
