PSL 2022: Former England Captain Michael Vaughan has called Pakistan Super League as the second-best T20 tournament in the world. The seventh edition of the PSL is currently being played in Pakistan and Vaughan has made this statement trough his tweet even terming that PSL is not far-off from the IPL.

He tweeted, “Pakistan Super league is the 2nd best T20 Tournament in the World .. it’s not far off the IPL either .. Outstanding standard of cricket.” The league is into its seventh edition and has only six teams in it. The league’s quality is bolstered definitely with the presence of Pakistan players who play international cricket alongside international cricketers from other countries.

This tweet has however come as a surprise to many as Vaughan is known to tease Indian cricket with his tweets. However this time he has genuinely appreciated not only PSL, but also called the Indian Premier League as the best T20 tournament in the world.
Other leagues like the Big Bash League, despite not having the participation of many international cricketers from Australia, attract top international players from other countries and draws enormous crowds and viewership. The league also has more number of teams than the PSL but it could not pip the league in terms of standard and quality.
As mentioned by Vaughan, the Indian Premier League on the other hand stands on top in terms of the quality of cricketers playing in it and the standard of cricket being played in it. There is a seperate window for it and all the top international cricketers will be plying their trade in the marquee league.
