Seventh place to gain European spot – As per the rulebook, the team that finishes fifth in the Premier League qualifies for Europa League while the two domestic cup winners also qualify for Europe. FA Cup winners are given a spot in Europa League, while League Cup (EFL Cup) winner are given Europa Conference League spot. In case both the domestic cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League, then the spots are shifted to next high ranked team in PL.
Chelsea’s win opens gate – With Chelsea and Liverpool almost certain to finish in the top four, the Europa League spot of FA Cup winners will go to the team finishing sixth in Premier League while EFL Cup winner’s Conference League spot will go to the seventh-placed team in Premier League. Had Crystal Palace won the FA Cup, the Eagles would have qualified for Europa League along with fifth place Premier team.

Which teams can benefit from this? – The extra European place in the Premier League will come as a welcome addition for West Ham United and Wolves. The two teams are unlikely to finish in the top five considering the number of games remaining.
However, with Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester United likely to finish in the top six, a seventh spot comes as a welcome addition where for West Ham and Wolves who are likely to finish seventh.
