Prasana Krishnan quits as Sony Sports cluster business head

Prasana Krishnan has stepped down from his position as the Business Head (Sports) in Sony Pictures Network India.

Prasana, without divulging other details, has confirmed to that he has moved on from Sony Pictures Network.

Prasana as in charge for sports content acquisition has played a key role in transforming the sports broadcasting business for SPNI and strengthening the network’s position as a formidable player in one of the most competitive broadcasting markets in the world. He has was the driver for the acquisition of marquee sports properties and the development of content to boost and grow SPN’s sports offerings.

He has also been instrumental in getting the Tokyo 2020 media rights for the Indian territory to the SPNI sports basket.

Prasana had started his journey with the channel network in September 2013 as the Business Head for Sony Six. Before starting his innings with Sony, then Multi Screen Media, Prasana has been the Chief Operating Officer of Neo Sports Broadcast. His earlier stints included senior management roles with the Nimbus Media, The Times of India Group and Arthur Andersen.
