PKL’s new franchise Haryana Steelers owned by JSW Sports has roped in six partners for their debut season. This includes two principal sponsors and one associate sponsor, while three of them are on board as partners.
The JSW group owned Haryana franchise has signed with Kent RO and Exide Industries’ Dynex Batteries as principal sponsors and Valvoline is on board as associate sponsor.
The franchise has got apparel brand 4U as their kit partner and two e-commerce websites, Overcart and Purplle have joined hands with the franchisee as partners.
“We are very happy with the brands that have shown interest in our team, Haryana Steelers. For all of them this is the first time that they have invested in Kabaddi,” Mustafa Ghouse, CEO of JSW Sports told Insidesport. “They have given kabaddi and us an opportunity and we are looking forward to build a very strong relationship.”
The JSW Group is one of India’s largest business conglomerates, headed by Sajjan Jindal. They are also the owners of former I-League champions and recent ISL side Bengaluru FC and are renowned for the contribution towards the development of sports in India.
Besides the kabaddi and football teams, JSW also own Bengaluru Yodhas, a wrestling team which reached the semi finals of the inaugural Pro Wrestling League.
