Paytm retains BCCI’s international, domestic sponsorship rights

Paytm has retained Board of Control for Cricket in India’s sponsorship rights of international and domestic cricket in the country.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced that One 97 Communications Pvt. Ltd. (Paytm) have acquired the sponsorship rights for the BCCI International and Domestic matches for the 2019-2023 cycle.

The winning bid was at a price of ₹ 326.80 crores to be paid for 2019-23 home season. The winning bid was ₹ 3.80 crores per match which is at 58% incremental value in comparison to the previous per match value of ₹2.4 crores.

The new rights deal will come into effect from South African cricket teams tour of India, which starts with the T20 International on September 15.
