Pathan brothers’ academy ties up Funngage for Cricket Scholarship Initiative

Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP), the elite cricket training centres of Yousuf and Irfan Pathan, has inked a deal to become the preferred Academy Partner of Funngage. The partnership will help them in their Cricket Scholarship Initiative.

Funngage has launched a 5 years of holistic cricket scholarship for boys and girls under the 24 years of age. One of the critical element of this scholarship is to provide the best coaching to the aspiring cricketers and for this CAP will help Funngage in imparting the best and most sophisticated coaching for the selected cricketers in this scholarship program.

They will get an opportunity to be trained for 5 years in CAP academies under the guidance of cricket expert and coaches.

These scholarships will help in unearthing new talent and give young kids a kick-start to their cricketing careers.

The academy has pledged to invest ₹2 crores along with its partners for further expansion across India in various cities of Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. With a group of select qualified expert coaches, the Pathan brothers, Irfan and Yusuf, have launched these academies to repay what the sport has given to them.

Talent, Perseverance, and Passion are the only yardsticks here.” said Karan Singh, Founder & CEO, has recently launched nation-wide program for Cricket Scholarship, the first of its kinds for Sports in India. The ‘FG PowerPlayer’ will help boys and girls in the age group of 12-24 years get paid Cricket Development Scholarship that will include a 3-week training camp in Perth, Australia at Guildford Grammar, under the guidance of former South African Test Cricketer, HD Ackerman.

The deserving cricketers will be selected via a transparent, scientific assessment. Stage 1 features video-based trials. The participants will be required to submit videos of their performance along with the report card highlighting the scores for each attribute of their skills and the areas of improvement.

This is be a pan-India initiative. After successful trials in Delhi, Noida, Meerut, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Patna, Ranchi and Kolkata, Funngage is now starting with the southern India leg from Bengaluru.

The selected children will undergo training by professional coaches at the Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP).

In the past, big corporate houses like Ola Cabs, Oppo Mobiles, and even the Indian Army have sponsored over 26 children to train at the CAP centres. Various other corporates, NGOs and social organizations are also willing to work with CAP to organize scholarship programs for talented youngsters.
