”It will take time to recover and according to protocol we will keep them under watch for two weeks and they will be released after recovering fully,” said Zahid Maleque.
”We are doing contact tracing and tested everyone who had come close to them,” he added.
The members had tested positive for COVID-19 on their return from Zimbabwe and as a result, the Bangladesh Cricket Board, on December 6, had extended the national women’s team isolation.
As per a report in Cricbuzz, BCB’s women’s wing chairman Nadel Chowdhury said that the women’s team will now have to complete a 14-day quarantine. The national women team was earlier expected to leave the team hotel on December 6.
ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 qualifiers
Bangladesh Women played three games in the recently concluded ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2022 in Zimbabwe. They registered 3 wickets and 270 runs win respectively over Pakistan Women and UAE Women in the first two games before facing 16 runs defeat under DLS method against Thailand Women in the last outing.
