NZ vs WI 2nd Test Preview: New Zealand will aim for a clean sweep when they lock horns with West Indies in the second Test of the two-match series at the Basin Reserve in Wellington on Friday.

The Black Caps won the opening match convincingly by an innings and 134 runs and finished the game off early on Day 4. New Zealand batted well against some testing bowling from Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel before the West Indian batting capitulated- that too twice.

NZ skipper Kane Williamson led from the front for the Kiwis with a career-best 251, while Tom Latham hit 86 in their only innings of the match, as the Black Cap scored 519 runs and lost seven wickets.

Even the bowling department for New Zealand was brilliant. Tim Southee, Neil Wagner, and all of the others had a good match. Southee took 5 wickets overall, while Wagner bagged 6 wickets in the match.

On the other hand, West Indies was dismal in their first innings as they got bowled out for a paltry 138 runs, while in the second innings they produced an improved performance and manage to accumulate 247 runs before getting all-out.

With a short turnaround and most of the conditions the same, New Zealand are favourable to win the second Test as well, while West Indies need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to avoid a whitewash.
