Despite a spirited second half performance from Norwich it was Chelsea who came away with a 3-1 win at Carrow Road. On a seismic day off the pitch for Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel and his men were tasked with going to Carrow Road and playing for the points against a relegation-threatened Norwich.
And they took a lead inside the opening five minutes as Trevor Chalobah headed in at the near post from a corner. The Blues were all over Dean Smith’s side and soon doubled their lead through Mason Mount with the England international finishing well from 12 yards out.

After the break it was Chelsea, once again, who were dominating the game with Mount having a good chance to add a third. It took an hour but the home side eventually made a game of it with Chalobah conceding a penalty for handball that Teemu Pukki dispatched.
The Canaries fancied a shock draw here but were leaving themselves open at the back and almost let in a third but Werner and Havertz slid in and both missed the ball. And they eventually did concede that third goal with Havertz scoring in injury time.
