Netherlands 1-1 Germany Highlights: Germany hold on to a 1-1 draw against Netherlands
Germany were unable to find the winning goal as they faced up against their old rival Netherlands on Tuesday evening.
The visitors opened the score on the stroke of half-time through Thomas Müller. The German veteran was quickest to react to a loose ball in the box to fire home with his left foot after some slick combination play down the left wing.
Despite having a little less of the ball, the hosts still proved a threat throughout the encounter. Denzel Dumfries rose highest in the 68th minute to head the ball back into the six-yard area where Steven Bergwijn was on hand to rifle his shot into the roof of the net.
The Netherlands had a penalty appeal overturned in the 73rd minute when Memphis Depay was brought down in the box, but VAR determined the tackle was clean.
