NBA Draft 2020: Golden State Warriors eye LaMelo Ball for their 2nd pick, invites him for another individual workout

NBA Draft 2020: While it is really important for the Golden State Warriors to use their No 2 pick wisely, it looks like they will be selecting LaMelo Ball in the NBA Draft 2020. They decided to call LaMelo for a second workout as we get closer to the NBA Draft.

The NBA Draft 2020 will be held virtually tomorrow.

They have competition from the Charlotte Hornets and the Detroit Pistons who have the 3rd and the 7th pick, respectively as he conducted a workout in front of executives and coaches from those teams as well.

It was the second private workout Ball agreed to. A few days ago, he conducted shooting, ballhandling, and conditioning drills for the Minnesota Timberwolves. They have the top pick in the draft.

LaMelo Ball had also met and interviewed with the Timberwolves, Hornets, and Chicago Bulls(who own the 4th pick). He was also present for a medical examination that follows NBA protocol. The results of that exam will be given to all 30 teams before the NBA Draft.

With just 4 days to go for the NBA Draft 2020, James Wiseman, Anthony Edwards, and LaMelo Ball are likely to be the first 3 picks. The Timberwolves met with and worked out Edwards. They are not too keen about the center, James Wiseman.

With Steph Curry and Klay Thompson on the sidelines for the Golden State Warriors throughout the 2019-20 NBA season, they will be looking to come back strong this season. With the 2nd pick and a good strategy for the Free Agency, they will be eyeing the NBA title again.
